Terms Glossary

For those not familiar with the kind of processes and products we can offer, some of these definitions may be helpful. Of course you can always get in touch with us to discuss any questions you have, too.

POS - These initials stand for Point of Sale, indicating displays and cardboard product-holders that sit at the point in a store or business where the customer makes their purchase. Normally this will mean next to the till, or at a queueing area

POP - This is the same as Point of Sale, but it is sometimes known with these initials, for Point of Purchase.

Foam Centred Displays - A light and portable way of constructing posters and graphic displays that can stand wihout support, and have more stability than a single layer cardboard constructions.

Free-Standing Displays - A way of referring to displays and graphic posters that area delivered in a form that can stand wihout any additional support - perfect for business shows and exhibitions, where you have a space you need to fill and don't want to be worried about securing hanging posters.

Polypropylene - A thermoplastic polymer, and one of the materials we can print onto and use to construct stands and POS displays. A rugged plastic, it is tough and resistant to many traditional chemical solvents, with a long life and ability to stand up to the demanding sales environment.

Digital Printing - Digital printing methods give us the flexiblity to print your computer-based graphics and logos onto a huge variety of surfaces and materials, from brochures to external shop signs.

Floor Graphics - Graphics intended for application on to the ground, perhaps in order to utilise every single surface you are given in an exhibition space, or to use valuable marketing space on the floor of a shop. From a simple banner on the floor, to a distorted graphic that appears 3D from a certain angle.

CAD - Computer Aided Design, offering superior precision and resizable images to create designs and constructions to your exact specifications.
